Refunds

Elastic Access makes refunds for items in the following circumstances:

If a session is deleted part way through an automatic charge hour, Elastic Access refunds the number of tokens charged in the last automatic charge representing the amount of the hour (in milliseconds) still to run.
If a new access request is made part way through an automatic charge hour, Elastic Access does the following:
Calculates the number of tokens in the last automatic charge representing the amount of the hour (in milliseconds) still to run.
Calculates the tokens to charge for the new set of items.
If there are sufficient tokens in line items for the new set of items, after adding back the calculated refund, then Elastic Access applies both the refund and the charge.
If an empty access request is made part way through an automatic charge hour, Elastic Access calculates and charges for the time that the item was used. It refunds any tokens for the remaining time.
If a heartbeat (or a new access request) is not received within 30 minutes of the last automatic charge, Elastic Access refunds the last automatic charge.
