Hostid Types
FlexNet Embedded supports the following standard hostid types. If no hostid is specified, the license server looks up the hostids in the native DLL component of the local license server, in the order in which they are listed in the following table:
Hostid |
Description |
producer-defined |
In addition to the standard hostid types (ethernet, flexid-9, flexid-10, and vm_uuid), the software producer can optionally specify a producer-defined hostid value to identify the server to the back office. This hostid is defined in producer_settings.xml. |
ethernet |
The unique identifier assigned to each network interface controller (NIC). |
flexid9 |
The hostid of the Aladdin dongle attached to the server. |
flexid10 |
The hostid of the Wibu-Systems dongle attached to the server. |
VM-UUID |
Available if virtual machine detection is enabled. |
