Administering FlexNet Operations

Depending on the permissions you have been granted through FlexNet Operations roles, you can perform administration activities using the links in the Administer menu and the System menu:


Topic	Description
System Information	View system configuration settings, custom content, recent news, and link to your end-user portal, your reports, system uptime statistics, and FlexNet Operations’ customer community via the System menu.
System Configuration	Administer system configuration settings for FlexNet Operations Producer Portal, End-User Portal, FlexNet Platform server, embedded devices, and more via the options in System > Configure.
Secure Token Single Sign-On Configuration	Configure the FlexNet Operations end-user portal to interface with a separate application, such as a corporate portal or intranet.
Administering Alerts	View and configure alerts using the Alerts links in the Administer menu.
Administering Custom Attributes	View and manage custom attributes, custom host attributes, and custom license attributes.
Importing and Exporting Entities	Migrate data between different FlexNet Operations instances by importing or exporting entities.
Administering License Technologies	Use the License Setup and Custom Attributes links in the Administer menu to manage license technologies and license generator configurations, and custom license generator and license model attributes.
Administering License Models	View, add, and edit license models.
Working with Time Zones	Describes how to use the time zone functionality to bind license usage to a specified geographic location by identifying the time zone of that region. Only for producers who use certificate-based licenses.
Administering Device and License Server Setup	Covers the setup and administration of device series, device models, server host types, publishers, and publisher identities.
Working with Transaction Keys	Only for producers who use FlexNet licensing with trusted storage, this section explains how to use transaction keys and anchoring.
Working with Application Specification Records (ASRs)	Explains the use of Application Specification Records (ASRs) for local trials and short code activation.
View and Manage Trusted Activation Requests	Describes how to administer trusted activation requests.
Managing Custom Content	Create and manage custom HTML and text snippets to be rendered in your End-User Portal pages.
Managing Email and Email Templates	Covers the administration of email messaging as well as email template management.
Viewing Transaction Histories	Describes how to search for and view transaction histories and transaction details.
