To create or update the information in the Overview tab
| 1. | Select a status of Active or Inactive from the drop-down box. If Inactive is selected, the update is ignored when the client calls in. |
| 2. | Enter a name for the Update (required). |
| 3. | Enter an ID for the Update (required). |
| 4. | Enter or select a date when the Update will be available. If left blank, the Update will be available immediately. |
| 5. | Enter or select a date when the Update expires and the client will no longer be able to receive it when calling in. |
| 6. | Select the type of type of entitlement check to be performed: |
| • | Account (selected by default)—All devices owned by an account with an entitlement for the product associated with the Release To download package can get this Update. |
| • | Device—Devices which have been mapped to an entitlement for the product associated with the Release To download package can get this Update. |
| • | None—All devices can get the Update whether they are entitled to it or not. (This may be a suitable selection for an Update which deploys a security patch.) |
| 7. | Click Save. |
Note • When you create a new Update, you must add information to all four tabs before you click the Save button.
