Downloading a Patch Using the Updates Page

Downloading a patch also imports the patch.

To download a patch using the Updates page

1.

Verify that the FlexNet application has been configured in the Administer Operations > System Configuration > Updates page to receive updates through the Producer Portal.

Select Administer Operations > View Updates to open the Updates page.

Each time the View Updates page is opened, all available updates and information messages for FlexNet Operations are displayed. Alternatively, alerts can be configured to notify users about new updates and information messages.

Review the list of available patches (listed under Software Updates).

All unexpired patches applicable to this FlexNet application appear, even if you have already downloaded those patches. Download is disabled for the patches that have been downloaded and are currently imported. Note that this does not mean that the imported patches are already deployed.

Click Download for each patch you want to download.

Regardless of where the Web browser is running, a patch file is downloaded to the machine on which the FlexNet Platform Server is running.
