New Email Template Fields for Entitlement Order Service
In the EntitlementOrderService SOAP Web Service, a new field is now available for the createSimpleEntitlement and updateSimpleEntitlement methods, enabling you to specify an email template when creating or updating an entitlement. Additionally, a new field has been added to the getEntitlementQuery and getEntitlementCount methods, enabling entitlement searches by the associated email template.
The email-template specification for entitlements also affects the behavior of the emailActivatableItem and emailEntitlement methods. When an email template is specified, the specified template is given preference when sending the email. If no email template is specified, preference is given to the email template configured for the license technology. If no email template is configured, the default email template is used. However, if the specified email template is not active or the “send” indicator is not switched on, then no email is sent.
