Device Model Attributes
Device models include the following attributes.

| Model Name | Model Name must be unique per producer. | |||||||||
| Description | An optional description for the device model. | |||||||||
| Alias | An optional, alternative descriptive name for the device model. | |||||||||
| Default Host ID Type | Default Host ID Type specifies a host ID type for devices based on this device model. Default Host ID Type is used whenever a device of this model is created without specifying a host ID Type. | |||||||||
| License Format | The storage format for the pre-installed license and additional capabilities.

| Device Series | The device series that is the parent of the device model. | |||||||||
| Identity | The publisher identity for the device model. | |||||||||
| Default | A check box that designates the current device model as the default device model. If you create a device without specifying a device model, the default device model is used for that device. | |||||||||
| Pre-installed Product | The product that determines the features included in the pre-installed license for devices of this device model type. Pre-installed product settings also determine the license model, license model attributes, and expiration terms used in the pre-installed license for such devices. When a pre-installed product is specified for a device model, that pre-installed product is used for devices based on that device model unless a different product is specified when the device is created. |
