Product Details:

- Product Name

- Product Version

- Part Number

Search for a product by name or part number.

To search by product name:

Click By Product. A pop-up window displays a list of products by product name and allows you to search for a specific product.
Search for and select a product. The version number is added to the Product Version field automatically. If the product is mapped to more than one part number, select the correct one from the Part Number drop-down list.

To search by part number, click By Part Number. A pop-up window displays a list of products by part number and allows you to search for a specific product.

The product name, product version, and part number fields are populated automatically.

Duration

Set Duration so an individual local trial activation expires at a fixed time from the activation date. If you want to set the duration, enter the units of time (Days, Weeks, Months, Years) and enter the number of those units.

If unlimited activations per computer are allowed by this local trial ASR, the local trial can be reactivated up until the Expiration Date.

Expiration Date

Set the date that this local trial ASR expires. This is the absolute expiration date of the license, regardless of when it is activated by the client. No new local trial activations can use this ASR after the expiration date, regardless of how many activations per computer are allowed.

If a product in the local trial contains a feature with an Expiration Date, set the date.

1. To specify an ExpirationDate date, click the Calendar button next to the Expiration Date field and click a date.
2. Click the Clear button to clear the Expiration Date field.

Activations per Computer

Select whether this local trial ASR allows only one or unlimited numbers of activations on a computer. Even if unlimited, no more activations can be done after the Expiration date.

Enable Local Trial Anchors

Select whether or not to enable local trial anchors. Trial anchors serve as additional identifiers for types of trials, and are numbered from 0 to 255, allowing each publisher to support 256 distinct trial types.

The number shown here is decremented by 1 each time a trial anchor is assigned to a Flex-enabled product. If a trial anchor is created in error, delete the ASR so its anchor is added back to the pool.

License Model

Select one of the trusted license models that is associated with the selected product. Specify any entitlement-time license model attributes.

Virtualization Keyword

Specify the Virtualization Keyword associated with this Local Trial ASR. This option determines whether or not FlexNet Operations adds a Virtualization Policy to the ASR and, if so, whether the trial uses default or virtualization-aware binding. Choose from

Omitted—No Virtualization Policy added to the ASR.
Default—Adds a Virtualization Policy to the ASR and specifies default binding for the ASR.
Virtual—Adds a Virtualization Policy to the ASR and specifies virtualization-aware binding for the ASR.

The choice you make here also determines the type of transaction keys available in Transaction Key (below).

Transaction Key

Select a transaction key to link with this local trial. If a transaction key is not specified here, the key associated with the product is used.

The choice you make for Virtualization Keyword determines which transaction keys are available for selection. When Virtualization Keyword is set to Omitted or Default, only default transaction keys are available. When Virtualization Keyword is set to Virtual, only virtualization-aware transaction keys are available.
