What is an Upgrade?
A product is upgraded when a customer replaces an older version of the product with a newer version, such as moving from MyProgram Version 4.5 to MyProgram Version 5.0. The figure below depicts an upgrade of Product A from version 1.0 to version 2.0.
To enable an upgrade in the Producer Portal, both versions of the product must have been added, and a relationship between them (such as Upgrade To or Upgrade From) must be defined on the Relate to Different Products page. Then, go to the Entitle Customers page and select Upgrade or Test Upgrade.
