Manual Return
Trusted returns are normally done programmatically as transactions between a client or server activation utility and the FlexNet Operations server. The activation utility generates a request that is submitted programmatically and the FlexNet Operations server generates a response that is used to complete the return.
However, when there is no internet connection, a return request can also be generated and written to a file by a FlexNet Licensing activation utility running on the machine from which the license will be returned.

|
The file containing the request is sent to the producer and loaded into FlexNet Operations to generate a response. |

|
The response is saved to a file. The file is sent to the customer and is used by the FlexNet Licensing activation utility to process the response and return the license. |
