Associating a Device with a Device User
When the Device User Option is enabled, the User field is visible on the device’s default view (or the View Served Device or View Server page) and a device can be associated with an end user or contact called the device user. Associating a device with a device user allows an End-User Portal administrator to communicate with someone regarding licenses on the device.
You can associate a device with a device user from the device’s default view (or the View Served Device or View Server page).
To associate a device with a device user:
When the Device user option is enabled (not set to Off), you can enter the device user in one of these two formats:

Device user option is set to On with no validation – free-form string |

In the User field, type the device user information. |
|
b.
|
Click the Save icon next to the User field to save the change. |
|
c.
|
To remove an associated user, click the User field’s Remove (X) icon. |
|

|
Device user option is set to On with validation – an existing user’s email address |
|
a.
|
In the User field, click the search icon to display a list of available users. |
|
b.
|
Select one user, then click Save to save the change. |

c.
|
To remove an associated user, click the User field’s Remove (X) icon. |
