What is a License Return?

A license return transfers license rights back to an entitlement, generally in order to allow a different license to be created. The replacement license may be initiated by a FlexNet Operations user to make a correction to a license, or it may be initiated by a customer who wants to move license rights from one machine to another. The number of allowed license returns per unit time per fulfillment can be governed by a producer policy.
