Creating a Customer Sub-Account
In this exercise, you create sub-accounts Eclipse NA and Eclipse EMEA for customer account Eclipse SunShades.
To create customer sub-accounts Eclipse NA and Eclipse EMEA
| 1. | Click Users & Accounts > All Accounts. The Manage Accounts page appears with the Customers tab open. |
| 2. | Select the Eclipse_SunShades check box and click Create a Sub Account. The Create An Account page appears with Parent Account set to Eclipse_SunShades and Account Type set to CUSTOMER. |
| 3. | Enter the account information: |
| • | Account Name: Type Eclipse_NA |
| • | Display Name: Type Eclipse NA |
| • | Country: Select United States |
Click Save. This message appears: Account Eclipse_NA has been successfully added.
| 4. | Repeat Step 1 through Step 3 to create another sub-account: |
| • | Account Name: Type Eclipse_EMEA |
| • | Display Name: Type Eclipse EMEA |
| • | Country: Select Netherlands |
Click Save. This message appears: Account Eclipse_EMEA has been successfully added.
| 5. | Click Users & Accounts > All Accounts and search for Eclipse_SunShades. |
| 6. | Click the Eclipse_SunShades account’s + icon to expand the tree and verify that sub-accounts Eclipse_NA and Eclipse_EMEA appear on the Customers list. Note the information that appears in the Created By, Created On, and Country columns for Eclipse_SunShades and its sub-accounts. |
