Deleting an Account
In this exercise, you delete the Eclipse NA sub-account of customer account Eclipse SunShades, Inc.
To delete the Eclipse NA sub-account

1.

Click Users & Accounts > All Accounts. The Manage Accounts page appears with the Customers tab selected. |

In the Manage Accounts list, click the Eclipse_SunShades account’s + icon to expand the tree then select the Eclipse_NA account’s check box. |

3.

Click Delete Account and click OK in the confirmation message. The Eclipse_NA account is deleted and this message appears: Account(s) Eclipse_NA have been deleted successfully. |
To delete an account and all its sub-accounts

1.

Click Users & Accounts > All Accounts. The Producer Portal opens the Manage Accounts page. |

2.

Click the tab for the Account Type (Producers, Customers, Partners, or Self Registered) of the accounts you want to delete. |

3.
|
In the Manage Accounts list, select the parent account to delete. |
Note:If the Delete Subtree option is not selected, only the parent account is deleted. The sub-accounts are promoted to root accounts.

5.
|
Click OK to confirm deletion. |
The Producer Portal deletes the selected account along with its account hierarchy and refreshes the Manage Accounts page.
Note:Not all accounts are eligible for deletion. If an account owns entitlements it cannot be deleted.
