Activating the License

In this exercise, you activate a license for 1 copy of product PhotoPrint‑manual. Your manual technology generates the license, while FlexNet Operations tracks fulfillment and other data. Because there is no programmatic link between them, your customer service staff must transfer license data from the manual technology to FlexNet Operations.

The manual technology licensing work flow is:

On-hold Fulfillment – The end user initiates the fulfillment. FlexNet Operations collects the relevant information, then creates an on-hold fulfillment record.
Email NotificationFlexNet Operations sends email to notify customer service to begin the licensing process using your manual technology, with information collected in FlexNet Operations.
License Generation – Your customer service staff generates the license using your manual technology.
Manual Update – Your customer service staff manually updates the fulfillment record in FlexNet Operations and sets the license, which activates the fulfillment record and allows the user to download the license.
