Requesting Update Information
It is recommended that devices are registered in FlexNet Operations before making update requests. Devices can be registered manually, through a device licensing capability request to FlexNet Operations (if licensing is being used) or using
the /registrations REST API to the Notification Server. FlexNet Edge Server also supports using the /registrations REST API.
Communication to the Notification Server is only supported via REST.
