License Management Enhancements

This section describes the 2021 R1 enhancements to license management and models.

New Configuration Option to Batch-Rehost All Fulfillments

Currently, during a Batch Rehost process, if a producer selects to rehost fulfillments from more than 10 line items belonging to the same entitlement, a maximum of 10 fulfillments is rehosted. This limit can cause an issue when a producer wants to rehost all fulfillments on a given host and the host is activated with an entitlement that has more than 10 line items.

The following configuration option has been added in this release to enable a producer to rehost all available fulfillments for an entitlement during a Batch Rehost. (The 10-fulfillment limit is not exercised.)

System > Configure > FlexNet Operations > General Options > Process all line items in an Entitlement during Batch Rehost 

This option applies to FlexNet Publisher fulfillments only.

New Option to Handle Multiple Tenants

A new configuration option, multitenancy.disabled, has been added in this release. This option is for use by FlexNet Operations On Premises customers who have more than 1 tenant configured in LFS_TENANT. By default, this option is set to false. It must be set to true by such customers to ensure that they have access to proper FlexNet Operations functionality.

Search Filters in End-User Portal Enhanced to Obtain Active Fulfillments

The List Licenses page in the End-User Portal now provides additional Advanced Search filters that can be used to obtain a list of all active license fulfillments. This can be useful, for instance, when consolidating fulfillments because all fulfillments consolidated must be active. To obtain this list, users will need to use a combination of the new fulfillment State filter (Active) and the new Line Item State filter (Deployed).
