Ability to Update Product Name and Version Using the Product Packaging Template

Two new columns have been added to the Product Packaging import template (PackageProducts.xlsx), which now enables producers to update the product name and product version in bulk. (Import templates can be downloaded in the Producer Portal under Administer > Import Data Objects, from the Data Import Templates tab.)

To update the product name and version, producers provide the old product name and version in the new columns OldProductName and OldProductVersion. Both columns are optional.

If no existing product is found in the FlexNet Operations database that matches both values provided in OldProductName and OldProductVersion, a new product will be created using the values in ProductName and ProductVersion.
