Export and Import Enhancements in 2022.12

The following enhancement to Data Export and Import functionality was added in the 2022.12 release.

Ability to Update Product Line Names Using Product Packaging Template

A new column has been added to the Product Packaging template (PackageProducts.xlsx), which now enables producers to update the product line name. (Import templates can be downloaded in the Producer Portal under Administer > Import Data Objects, from the Data Import Templates tab.)

To update the product line name, producers provide the old product line name in the new column OldProductLineName. This column is optional.

If no existing product line is found in the FlexNet Operations database that matches the value provided in OldProductLineName, a new product line will be created using the value in ProductLineName.
