Web service to manage devices.

Introduction

The Device Management service enables management of hardware devices.

License Restrictions

Some license restrictions govern the use of the Device Management service:

• You must have a FLEXnetOps.FLEXnetEmbedded license to use the Device Management service

• You must have a FLEXnetOps.MultiTierSupport license to specify partner tiers other than the default (endcustomer and tier1) tiers.

In both cases, if you haven’t installed a required license, FlexNet Operations returns an error:

ERROR Initialization Failed - Unable to set/verify permissions.
