Sample Source and Other Resources

Sample source code and other resources are available from the Product and License Center and from within the FlexNet Operations install directory as well. There are two archives that contain samples:

•

extgenservice.zip contains sample source for most customizable FlexNet Operations core components, like license generation, filename generation, ID generation, and renewal request handling.

•

flexnet-lfs-callout.war contains sample source for customizing the handling of capability requests and responses.

Obtaining External Service Samples

The sample files are provided under the following directory:

<ops_install_dir>\release\flexnet-data\site\samples\

You can find extgenservice.zip in <ops_install_dir>\release\flexnet-data\site\samples\externalservices\.

You can extract flexnet-lfs-callout.war by running the extract target in the build script in <ops_install_dir>\release\flexnet-data\site\samples\lfs\capabilityrequest\.

Note that these files (extgenservice.zip and flexnet-lfs-callout.war) are also available from the Product and License Center in the same location where you download the FlexNet Operations installer.

You will find additional sample files included in your samples directory, which provide on-premises-specific implementations.
