Emailing Bulk Operation Notifications

When a bulk operation processes an upgrade for entitlements, you can initiate that end users are sent an email for each upgraded line item.

Note:Email notifications can only be sent for completed bulk operations. In addition, ensure that the Ship To Email field on the Create a Bulk Entitlement page has been populated with the recipient email (see Creating a Bulk Entitlement).

To send an email notification for a bulk operation

1. Click Entitlements > Bulk Operations. This link opens the Bulk Operations page.
2. Select a completed operation (where the Status field shows Completed).
3. Click Email. This link opens the Email Bulk Operations page. The Name field shows the name of the upgrade operation.
4. Enter the following information:
Email Type: Select if you want to send emails for entitlements or fulfillment, or both.
Language for email: Select the language of the email that will be sent.
Submit Job: Select Now if the notification should be sent immediately, or select Later and provide the date and time to schedule the sending of the email.
5. Click Submit.

You can check the email bulk operation job status in the Email Status column on the Bulk Operations page. A submitted job can have the status Success, Failed, or Pending. The Notes column shows additional information.

If an email job for a bulk operation has already been submitted, emails will be sent for any records for which an email could not be sent earlier.

Note:When entitlements are upgraded during a bulk operation and the same product exists on multiple line items of the upgraded entitlement, a customer will receive a single email notification instead of a notification for every upgraded line item.
