License Agreements

In FlexNet Operations, producers can add agreements that can be tied to one or more download packages.

A click-through or end-user license agreement (EULA) commonly contains content supplied by your legal department. The license agreement is an optional attribute of a download package.

In the Producer Portal, producers add agreements by providing an agreement name and the content for the agreement text. (The agreement content can be plain text or HTML.) Then, the agreement can be linked to a download package on the Edit Download Package page.

When an agreement is connected to a download package, the End-User Portal prompts users to agree to the terms of that agreement before proceeding with the download.

Considerations

The EULA is presented to the user the first time a user downloads a file from the package. Subsequent downloads from the same download package do not require the user to accept the EULA unless the EULA has been changed or updated. The EULA acceptance date is always a date prior to the file download start date. This is because the EULA has to be accepted before the file is downloaded.
