Resolved Issue for “Allow Portal Login” After Importing Entitlements

An issue has been resolved related to exporting and importing entitlements using the Entitlement Management template. Now, when the AllowPortalLogin column on the Create-Update Entitlement sheet in the Entitlement Management template is left blank, the end customer can use the entitlement ID or activation ID to log into the End-User Portal. This is the expected default behavior as described by the tooltip in the Entitlement Management template.

Previously, when the AllowPortalLogin column was left blank, logging in to the End-User Portal using the entitlement ID or activation ID was erroneously denied.

Note:A known issue exists whereby login in to the End-User Portal using the entitlement ID or activation ID is denied if the AllowPortalLogin column is deleted. For more information, see SWM-20500: End-Users Denied Access After Importing Entitlements When “Allow Portal Login” Column Deleted.

Resolved Limitation When Exporting Custom Attributes of Products to .JAR

When custom attributes were introduced, the export/import functionality was not updated to include custom attributes in the .jar file generated for export/import.

This release addresses this shortcoming, and the generated .jar includes product data and product custom attributes.

Configuration “Enable Product Lines for Products, Users, and Accounts” No Longer Causing Issues During Data Import

Previously, even if the configuration option Enable Product Lines for Products, Users, and Accounts was unselected, product line and account information was included during an export using a JAR file. This could lead to errors related to accounts when the exported data was imported into a different system.

This issue has now been addressed. Information about accounts is only part of a JAR export if the option Enable Product Lines for Products, Users, and Accounts is selected.

Resolved Import Issue for Products Associated with Suites

When importing suites using the data import functionality (under Administer > Import Data Objects), products associated with suites are now correctly imported. Previously, the import failed even if the suite was in Draft mode (the only mode allowed for updating suite data via import).

Changing Product Line Using Import Template

It is now possible to use the Product Packaging import template (downloadable from Administer > Import Data Objects > Data Import Templates in the Producer Portal) to change the product line for a product or maintenance even if the product or maintenance is mapped to an entitlement. This enables producers to make mass updates using an import template.

Note that the values in the following columns in the import template cannot be updated along with the product line for a product or maintenance if the product or maintenance is mapped to an entitlement:

AllowUpgrades
AllowUpsells
AllowRenewals

Importing Line Items with Custom Activation ID Format

Producers can now import entitlement line items where the activation ID has been generated using a custom format. If there is no custom format available, then the activation ID is generated using the default FlexNet Operations format.

Resolved Maintenance Date Update Issue

Previously, the maximum maintenance date of a line item was not updated in the ESD service when linking a new maintenance by importing the Create_Update MaintenanceLine Excel worksheet, which is part of the Entitlement Management template (downloadable from Administer > Import Data Objects > Data Import Templates in the Producer Portal). This issue no longer occurs.
