About Analytics

Analytics provides dashboards and reports that help you understand your organization’s software entitlements, devices, license consumption, denied license requests, and software download activity. Use this information to identify items that may require attention and support day-to-day license, renewal, deployment, and software-delivery decisions.

The reports are read-only. You can explore the supplied dashboards and reports, filter the displayed data, change date ranges, bookmark useful views, download report content, subscribe to scheduled report deliveries, and view reports shared by your software producer.

Questions Analytics Can Help Answer

• What products, features, and quantities is my organization entitled to use?
• How much licensed capacity has been used, and where is it being used?
• Which entitlements are approaching expiration?
• Which products or license servers may need additional capacity?
• Which devices are consuming licenses?
• Which license requests were denied, and why?
• Which files were downloaded, when were they downloaded, and by whom?

Who Can Benefit From Analytics

Analytics can support people responsible for license administration, IT operations, procurement and asset management, engineering management, and other business functions that need visibility into software ownership and use.

Data Security

Analytics follows customer-level data isolation. End-User Portal users can access information for their own customer organization; they do not receive access to producer-wide analytics or another customer’s data.

If your user account is associated with multiple customer accounts, Analytics displays data for all of those accounts. You can use the Account filter available in dashboards and reports to focus on a specific account.

Note:The Analytics menu is available only when the software producer has enabled End-User Portal Analytics and the user’s role includes the required report permission.
