Managing Licenses

The License Support menu allows you to perform additional license lifecycle processes for license certificates,

Lifecycle Process	Description
Returning a License	A license is returned to allow it to be fulfilled again at a later time. The number of returns against a fulfillment can be limited by a producer’s return policy.
Repairing a License	A certificate license is repaired to change license parameters other than a host ID. The number of repairs against a fulfillment can be limited by a producer’s repair policy.
Rehosting a License	A license is rehosted to change one or more host IDs. The number of rehosts against a fulfillment can be limited by a producer’s rehost policy.
Upgrading, Upselling or Renewing a License	Many licenses can be upgraded, upsold, or renewed: • A license can be upgraded to a new version only if there is an upgrade entitlement line item in the entitlement. • A license can be upsold only if there is an upsell entitlement line item in the entitlement. • A license can be renewed only if there is renew entitlement line item in the entitlement.
Consolidating Licenses	You can consolidate several licenses into a single file.

The License Activation page automatically displays your fulfillment records for custom and certificate-based licenses. From this page, you can also view fulfillment records and print fulfillment records.
