Splitting Bulk Entitlements

Partner users can split bulk entitlements. This process is similar to splitting entitlement line items, but starts on the Bulk Entitlements page and consumes the specified count from the web register keys associated with the bulk entitlement.

To split a bulk entitlement:

1. Click Activation & Entitlements > Bulk Entitlements.
2. Select the bulk entitlement you want to split, and then click Action > Split. The Split Bulk Entitlement page opens.
3. Click the Search Account button at the Target Account prompt to open the End Customer and Channel Partners page in a pop-up window.
4. Select a Distribution Tier Type, and then choose the account with which you want to split the entitlement. This account is then the target account of the split operation.
5. Click Next. This shows the contacts list for the target account.
6. Select a contact. The contact you select will automatically receive an email whenever an event occurs that requires email messaging.
7. Click Save. The pop-up window closes and you return to the Split Bulk Entitlement page, where the target account information has been populated.
8. On the Split Bulk Entitlement page, choose whether you want the target account to pool the entitlements into an existing or to create a new entitlement. For Do you want to split to a similar entitlement owned by the target account?
To pool entitlements, click Yes, and then select the line item of the target account that you want to receive the count from the split.
To create a new entitlement, click No.
9. Specify a Split Amount.
10. Click Split, and then click OK to confirm the split operation.
11. Click Complete to return to the Bulk Entitlements page. Notice that a number of web register keys (matching the Split Amount) have been assigned to the target account.
