Device Management Enhancements in 2026.08

The following enhancement to device management was added in the 2026.08 release.

Device Response Now Includes Unique Device Identifier

The device capability response now includes a unique device identifier (UNIQUE_ID) field, visible in the Producer Portal under Devices > View > View Response and in SOAP web service responses.

This identifier provides a consistent, system-generated reference for each device, supporting improved device history tracking and traceability for create, update, and delete events within the Snowflake Data Warehouse.

Note:The device identifier is an informational field only. It does not affect device functionality or require any action on your part. No existing workflows or integrations are impacted by its presence.
