Edition • Build distribution options vary, depending on which edition of InstallAnywhere you are using:
| • | The Premier edition of InstallAnywhere lets you choose between two build output types: a CD-ROM installer (an uncompressed installer that you can burn onto CDs, DVDs, or other removable media, or that you can copy to a network) or a Web installer (a single executable file, along with an HTML page and embedded Java applet to make downloading the installer easy). The Professional edition provides support for Web installers only. |
| • | The Premier edition of InstallAnywhere enables you to create merge modules. The Professional edition does not have support for merge modules. |
For each build configuration, you need to specify the types of installers that you want to create: Web installer, CD-ROM/DVD installer, or merge module. The Build Configurations tab in the Build Installers view on the Build page is where you specify the appropriate distribution options.
