InstallShield 2016 » Options Dialog Box
The Updates tab on the Options dialog box enables you to configure how often FlexNet Connect checks for updates to InstallShield. It also lets you specify whether automatic update notification should be enabled by default for all new projects that you create in InstallShield.

Note • In order to configure this option, you must be running InstallShield with administrative privileges. If you do not have administrative privileges, this option is disabled. Enable automatic update notification in all new projects |

Select this check box if automatic update notification should be enabled in all new projects that you create in InstallShield. You can override this automatic update notification setting for specific projects if necessary. Note • FlexNet Connect cannot be used to deploy an upgrade for your installation if FlexNet Connect was not enabled in the original installation.
