Overriding the Default Background Brushes for a Wizard Page or Secondary Window

InstallShield 2016

Project • This information applies to the following project types:

Advanced UI
Suite/Advanced UI

Edition • The Advanced UI project type is available in the Professional edition of InstallShield. The Suite/Advanced UI project type is available in the Premier edition of InstallShield. For information about the differences between these two project types, see Advanced UI Projects vs. Suite/Advanced UI Projects.

In most cases, each wizard page and secondary window in the user interface of an Advanced UI or Suite/Advanced UI project has the same background. In some cases, you may want to override the default background for a specific wizard page or secondary window in your project. You can do so by selecting a different brush for the background of that wizard page or window.

To apply a brush to a specific wizard page or secondary window:

1. In the View List under User Interface, click Wizard Interface.
2. In the Wizard Interface explorer, expand the Wizard Pages node or the Secondary Windows node, and then click the wizard page or window to which you want to apply a brush. InstallShield displays the settings for the selected wizard page or window in the right pane.
3. In the Body Background setting, select the brush that you want to use for the selected wizard page or secondary window.

InstallShield changes the background of the selected wizard page or secondary window.
