InstallShield 2016
Project • This information applies to the following project types:
• | Advanced UI |
• | Suite/Advanced UI |
Edition • The Advanced UI project type is available in the Professional edition of InstallShield. The Suite/Advanced UI project type is available in the Premier edition of InstallShield. For information about the differences between these two project types, see Advanced UI Projects vs. Suite/Advanced UI Projects.
InstallShield enables you to apply text styles to various wizard interface elements. If you later want to change the appearance of the wizard interface elements that use that text style, you can easily make changes to the text style, rather than separately editing each element that uses the text style.
When you are applying a text style to text, you can apply it at the global level, or you can apply it at the individual wizard page control level.
To apply a text style to text globally:
1. | In the View List under User Interface, click Wizard Interface. |
2. | In the Wizard Interface explorer, click Wizard Pages. InstallShield displays the global wizard interface settings in the right pane. |
3. | In the following settings, select the appropriate text styles: |
• | Header Text Style |
• | Navigation Text Style |
InstallShield changes the text style of the applicable UI elements throughout the project.
To apply a text style to specific text:
1. | In the View List under User Interface, click Wizard Interface. |
2. | In the Wizard Interface explorer, expand the Wizard Pages node or the Secondary Windows node, and find the wizard page or window that contains the text to which you want to apply a style. |
3. | Select the control that contains the text to which you want to apply a style. |
4. | In the right pane, expand the Text Style setting, and use its subsettings to specify the appropriate text styles. For more information, see the inline help that is displayed in the bottom right pane when you select these settings. |
InstallShield changes the text style of the selected control.
