Standalone Automation Interface

InstallShield 2019

The Standalone Build includes a standalone version of the automation interface—the InstallShield Standalone Automation Interface. This interface uses the same ISWiAutomationAutomation Interface Version.dll file that is installed with InstallShield, but it is installed to a different location.

Note • If you install the Standalone Build on the same machine as InstallShield, the first ISWiAutomationAutomation Interface Version.dll file that is installed is the one that is registered. To learn more, see Installing the Standalone Build and InstallShield on the Same Machine.

Future versions of the Standalone Build will have new ProgIDs and new GUIDs. This enables you to install multiple versions of the Standalone Automation Interface side by side on the same build machine.

Registering ISWiAutomationAutomation Interface Version.dll
