Project:The System Search Wizard is available in the following project types:

If you are configuring the Folder path, as specified by a registry entry type of system search, the Folder path, as specified by a registry entry type of system search, or the registry entry type of system search, the following settings are available on the How do you want to look for it? panel:
| Setting | Description | ||||||
| Registry Root | Select the registry root where you want Windows Installer to search on target systems. | ||||||
| Registry Key | Enter the exact registry key that is associated with the item that you are locating. For example, to locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat on the target system, you would enter SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat in this setting. Tip:Ensure that the syntax is correct by copying the correct key name from the Windows Registry Editor. | ||||||
| Registry Value (Optional) | To search for a specific registry value, enter the registry value exactly as it appears in the Windows Registry Editor. Note:If this setting is blank, the system search looks for the registry key’s default value. | ||||||
| Search the 64-Bit Portion of the Registry | A 64-bit target system typically has two HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software keys: 
 
 If you want Windows Installer to check the 64-bit portion of the registry (HKLM\Software) on 64-bit target systems, select this check box. |
