Select each service in the list and specify the type of account you want the service to log on as when it starts up.

Caution:Because of potential password conflicts, Microsoft recommends that all services log on under the local system account.

Description

Service

Select each of the services that you entered in the Services list of the Service Executable panel and then specify how the service should log on.

Local system account

Select this option to have the service log on under the local system account.

Allow service to interact with the desktop

If the service has a user interface, click this option.

This account

Select this option if you want the service to impersonate a specific user when it logs on. You must enter a user name and password, or the local system account will be used.

Domain/User Name

Enter accounts in the form DomainName\UserName. You can use a dot for the built-in domain, such as .\UserName.

Password

Enter the password for this account.

The password will not be used if you do not specify a user name, and the service will log on under the local system account.
