The Namespace tab contains a table with the following settings for an XML file in the XML File Changes view.

Prefix |
Specify the prefix that should be added to elements that are associated with this namespace. |

URI |
Specify the uniform resource identifier that identifies the Internet resource for the namespace. The URI can be a URL or a string of characters. Note:The MSXML parser does not use the URI to look up information about the namespace. The only purpose of the URI is to give the namespace a unique name within the XML file. |
