Specifying Which ICEs, ISICEs, ISVICEs and ISBPs Should Be Run During Validation
InstallShield lets you customize the list of ICEs, ISICEs, ISVICEs, ISUWPs, and ISBPs that should be used for installation package validation and merge module validation.
To specify which ICEs, ISICEs, ISVICEs, ISUWPs, and ISBPs should be run during validation:

On the Tools menu, click Options. The Options dialog box opens. |

Click the Validation tab. |
|
3.

Click the Customize button. The Customize Validation Settings dialog box opens. |

In the Select CUB file to customize list, click the suite that you want to customize. |

|
In the list of ICEs, select the check box for each of the validators that should be used to evaluate the installation package or merge module. Clear the check box for each of the validators that should not be used for the validation. |
To configure multiple consecutive validators, select the first file, press and hold SHIFT, and select the last file. Then either select or clear the check box of one of the selected validators.
If you customize the list of ICEs, ISICEs, ISVICEs, ISUWPs, and ISBPs for a validation suite, anytime that validation is performed—whether it occurs at build time or on demand—only the selected ICEs, ISICEs, ISVICEs, ISUWPs, and ISBPs are used.
