Visual Studio 2022 Integration in InstallShield 2021 R1
InstallShield now supports integration with Visual Studio 2022. This integration is planned in phases. InstallShield 2022 R1 supports opening, upgrading, and building projects in Visual Studio 2022.
The following is a summary of Visual Studio 2022 Integration with InstallShield 2022 R1:
| • | Support for opening existing projects in Visual Studio 2022. |
| • | Support for upgrading projects to the latest version of InstallShield. |
| • | Support for building projects from the Visual Studio 2022 IDE and from the x64 MSBuild. |
Note:Visual Studio 2022 is now being released as a 64-bit application as opposed to 32-bit in previous releases—hence, the phased delivery of the integration.
Note:Support for InstallScript projects and ability to create new InstallShield projects from Visual Studio 2022 is planned in future releases of InstallShield.
