InstallShield 2016 Express Edition » Options Dialog Box
The Updates tab on the Options dialog box is where you specify how often FlexNet Connect should check for updates to InstallShield. It also lets you specify whether automatic update notifications should be enabled by default for all new projects that you create in InstallShield.

Check for software updates |
Select an option from this list to indicate how often you want InstallShield to check for software updates. Note • In order to configure this option, you must be running InstallShield with administrative privileges. If you do not have administrative privileges, this option is disabled. To learn more, see Launching InstallShield with vs. Without Administrative Privileges. |

Enable automatic update notification in all new projects |
Select this check box if automatic update notification should be enabled in all new projects that you create in InstallShield. You can override this automatic update notification setting for specified projects if necessary. Note • FlexNet Connect cannot be used to deploy an upgrade for your installation if FlexNet Connect was not enabled in the original installation. |
