InstallShield includes many third-party redistributables that are packaged as InstallShield prerequisites, merge modules, and objects. You can add these built-in redistributables to your installation projects. To learn how, see this section of the documentation.

Edition • InstallShield Premier Edition and InstallShield Professional Edition include the InstallShield Prerequisite Editor, a tool that enables you to define custom InstallShield prerequisites and to edit settings for any existing InstallShield prerequisites. In addition, these editions include a merge module project type, which you can use to create your own merge modules.
