Advanced Inventory Search Page

FlexNet Code Insight 2019 R1

The Advanced Inventory Search page appears when you click the Advanced Search button on the Inventory Items page. This Advanced Inventory Search page lets you search your inventory in a variety of ways. The page has the following fields:

Column/Field

Description

Inventory Items 

Inventory Name

Enter the whole or partial name of an item for which to search. For example, if you enter apache in this field, FlexNet Code Insight will find all inventory items that have the word apache in their name.

Inventory Priority

Select one or more of these checkboxes (P1, P2, P3, or P4) to search the inventory by inventory priority.

Inventory Review Status

Select one or more of the following checkboxes to filter the inventory display based on the review status of inventory items:

Approved—Show only inventory that has been reviewed and approved, either manually by a reviewer or automatically during the auto-publish process.
Rejected—Show only inventory that has been reviewed and rejected, either manually by a reviewer or automatically during the auto-publish process.
Not Reviewed—Show only items that have not yet been reviewed.

Dependency Options

Select one of the following options to filter the inventory display based on dependency level:

All Inventory Items—Display all inventory items—top-level inventory and first-level and transitive dependencies.
Only Top-Level Inventory Items—Display only top-level inventory items only. No first-level or transitive dependencies are listed.
Only Dependency Inventory Items—Display only first-level and transitive dependencies.

Inventory Age

Search by inventory publication date. This dropdown field has the following choices:

Any—Show any published inventory.
Last 1 day—If today is Feb 6th, search from Feb 5th 12 AM.
Last 7 days—If today is Feb 6th, search from Jan 30th 12 AM.
Last month—If today is Feb 6th, search from Jan 7th 12 AM (30 days).
Custom Date Range—Select a beginning (From) and ending (To) date from the popup calendar.

Note • To appear in search results based on inventory age, an inventory item must have been published. The search will not find items that were created but not published.

Inventory Notifications

Select one or more of the following checkboxes to filter the inventory display based on security vulnerabilities:

Inventory with Open Alerts—Display only inventory items that have open vulnerability alerts (that is, alerts for vulnerabilities that were discovered post-publication and have not been closed).
Inventory Rejected Due to New Non-Compliant Security Vulnerabilities—Inventory items that have been rejected due to new security alerts that are non-compliant with policy.

Inventory Tasks Age

Search for published inventory items with tasks of a certain age (based on creation date). This dropdown field has the following choices:

Any—Show any published inventory.
Last day—If today is Feb 6th, search from Feb 5th 12 AM.
Last 7 days—If today is Feb 6th, search from Jan 30th 12 AM.
Last month—If today is Feb 6th, search from Jan 7th 12 AM (30 days).
Custom Date Range—Select a beginning (From) and ending (To) date from the popup calendar.

Inventory Task Owner

Search for published inventory items with tasks assigned to a specific user (or any user):

Any—Inventory with tasks assigned to any user.
Only Mine—Inventory with tasks assigned to you (current user).
Specific User—Inventory with tasks assigned to a specific user. (A Select user pop-up enables you to select the user.)

Inventory Confidence Level

Search for system-generated published inventory items that have a Confidence level of either High, Medium, or Low.

The Confidence level is the measure of the strength of the discovery technique used to generate the inventory item. For a description of the Confidence levels and how they are used, see Inventory Confidence in the “Using FlexNet Code Insight” chapter.

Security Vulnerabilities 

Security Vulnerability ID

Enter a valid vulnerability ID for which to search.

Security Vulnerability Severity

Select one or more of the following severities to include in your search:

High Severity (CVSS 7.0 - 10.0)
Medium Severity (CVSS 4.0 - 6.9)
Low Severity (CVSS 0.1 - 3.9)
Unknown Severity (N/A)

Security Vulnerability Age

Vulnerability age means how long ago a vulnerability was detected in the inventory. This could be either the inventory creation date (if a vulnerability was reported when the inventory was created), or the date that a new vulnerability applicable to this inventory was delivered by the update service. Select one of the following age ranges to limit your search:

Last day—If today is Feb 6th, search from Feb 5th 12 AM.
Last 7 days—If today is Feb 6th, search from Jan 30th 12 AM.
Last 30 days—If today is Feb 6th, search from Jan 7th 12 AM.
Custom Date Range—Select a beginning and ending date from the popup calendar.

Licenses 

License Name

The full or partial name of the license for which to search.

License Priority

Select one or more of the following license priorities to limit your search:

P1— Viral/Strong Copyleft
P2—Weak Copyleft/Commercial/Uncommon
P3—Permissive/Public Domain
No License Found

Apply And/Or Criteria

Select one of the boolean criteria to apply to the search selections:

Or—The item may contain any one or more of the chosen criteria to be displayed. This is the default boolean operator.
And—The item must meet all chosen criteria to be displayed.

Apply

Click this button to apply the selected search criteria and return to the Inventory Items page to view the results. The title bar of the Inventory Items page denotes that the display shows only filtered results.

Clear Form

Click this button to remove any previously specified search criteria.

Close

Click this button to close this page and return to the Inventory Items page without applying your search criteria.
