Emailing a Short Code ASR
A newly or previously generated short code ASR can be sent as an email attachment to one or more email addresses. The email attachment is sent as a file, by default called SC_namexxxxx.asr, where xxxxx is a random number. The subject of the ASR email cannot be edited; the subject line is:
File containing your activation specification record (ASR) attached
The Ship To Email field contains the email address where the short code ASR is sent. Additional email addresses can be entered, and multiple email addresses are formatted in a comma-separated list that contains no spaces.
After the email is sent, a confirmation message appears on the page.
Before you can successfully email a short code ASR, you must configure FlexNet Operations:
• | If you are emailing short code ASRs to customers, in the FlexNet Platform Server configuration settings, set the Outbound Mail Server Host to your account’s mail server and From-Address for Outbound Mail to the email address you want to use as the from-address for license emails. |
• | Customize the short code email template for your account. |
