Short Code ASRs

Short code activations are implemented by creating a short code Activation Specification Record (ASR) in FlexNet Operations and bundling the short code ASR with the software product. The ASR is tied to an entitlement in FlexNet Operations.

Note:The amount of information transmitted in short code transactions is much less extensive than ordinary programmatic activations. For example, only part of the UMN is passed. This reduces the security of short code transactions.
