Repairing a License
To repair a license, perform the following steps.
To repair a license because you want to change a license parameter other than a host ID:
| 1. | Click License Support > List Licenses. |
| 2. | Search for a fulfillment to be repaired. Search by Activation ID, Product, Sold To, Hostid, or Fulfill ID. |
| 3. | Check exactly one fulfillment ID and click Action > Repair. |
| 4. | Verify that you want to repair the license. The license won’t actually be repaired until the Repair button is clicked later in the process. |
| 5. | Enter a Ship to Email and/or a Ship to Mail address, if applicable. |
| 6. | Replace the original attribute value with the one to be used for the new license. host ID values cannot be changed with a repair. The entire count of the fulfillment is repaired. |
| 7. | To check that the parameter values can be used to generate a valid license before actually generating a license, click the Verify button. To generate a license, click the Repair button. |
| 8. | After a license is generated, the license text can be saved to a file on disk by clicking the Save To File button or it can be sent as an email attachment by clicking the Email button. |
The new fulfillment will be displayed as MASTER and the original fulfillment's support type will be called REPAIR.
