Returning a License
To return a license, perform the following steps.
To return a license in order to regenerate it at a later time:
| 1. | Click License Support > List Licenses. |
| 2. | Search for a fulfillment for which a license is to be returned. Search by Activation ID, Product, Sold To, Hostid, or Fulfill ID. |
| 3. | Check exactly one fulfillment ID and click Action > Return. |
| 4. | Enter a Ship to Email and/or a Ship to Mail address, if applicable. |
| 5. | The Return Count shows the entire fulfill count of the fulfillment. If you want to return only part of this count, specify that amount. |
| 6. | The Return Overdraft Count shows the entire overdraft count of the fulfillment you want to return. If you want to return only part of the original overdraft count, specify that amount. |
| 7. | Verify that the return is valid. The license won’t actually be returned until the Return button is clicked later in the process. |
| 8. | Click the Return button to return the specified fulfillment. |
The new fulfillment will be displayed as MASTER and the original fulfillment's support type will be called RETURN.
