What is a License Rehost?
For a certificate license, a re-host operation is a customer-initiated change to a license to transfer a license from one host ID to another. No license properties other than the host ID are modified for a re-host operation. A rehost initiates a license return, then generates a modified license certificate.
The number of allowed license rehosts per unit time per entitlement line item can be governed by a policy on the license model or entitlement line item.
