Data Share
Data Share is a Snowflake-native data-sharing capability that provides direct, governed access to curated FlexNet Operations data warehouse objects. Instead of requiring extract jobs, API polling, or ETL pipelines, Data Share exposes FlexNet Operations datasets as secure Snowflake shares, allowing customers to query operational data where it already resides, i.e., inside the Snowflake platform.
Data Share supports key FlexNet Operations subject areas including entitlements, licenses, activations, devices, and usage events. All objects are published as read-only Snowflake tables or views, refreshed in alignment with FlexNet Operations’s internal warehouse update cadence. This approach eliminates data movement, reduces latency, and ensures consistent schema governance across all consumers.
To use Data Share, customers must have their own Snowflake organization/account, as the share is created from Revenera’s Snowflake environment directly into the customer’s Snowflake region. Once the share is accepted, customers can attach it to a database, grant internal access roles, and integrate it into downstream BI, ML, or data engineering pipelines using standard Snowflake features.
Key Technical Benefits
| • | Zero-ETL Snowflake-to-Snowflake sharing |
| • | No data replication or storage overhead |
| • | Automatic schema and data refresh propagation |
| • | Support for high-concurrency analytical workloads |
| • | Seamless integration with dbt, Spark, Snowflake Native Apps, and BI tools |
For enablement, contact your Revenera Customer Success Manager or submit a request via the Support Hub (login required).
Important:If your Snowflake region is compatible with Revenera’s hosting region (currently AWS_US_WEST_2, AWS_US_EAST_1, AWS_US_EAST_2, or AWS_EU_WEST_1), onboarding will be straightforward. If you are in a different cloud provider or region, we will need to provision a Snowflake account in that region, which will incur additional costs.
