Changing End-User Portal Settings
Whether producers use a standard or advanced branding approach, their choices are stored in the Producer Portal’s End-User Portal-related system configuration settings. These settings apply resources, like your account’s graphics and style sheets, combined with your design choices to govern the appearance of your account’s End-User Portal.
Follow the instructions, below, to configure the End-User Portal.
Important:A user must be assigned a role with the View and Manage Configurations permission to modify configuration settings for the End-User Portal through the Producer Portal.
Tip:Before changing any configuration settings in a working FlexNet Operations instance, it is advisable to export the working configuration settings. If there is a problem with the new settings, you have a backup of working settings to restore.
To configure the End-User Portal
1. | In the Producer Portal, click System > Configure. |
2. | Click End-User Portal Setup to open the configuration page for the End-User Portal. |
Initially, the General Options group is expanded. Click on the name of a group to expand the settings list for that group. For example, click Custom Branding to show all branding-specific system configuration settings for the End-User Portal.
Note:The settings in the Custom Branding group apply expressly to branding. However, other settings also have an impact on the appearance of portal to your end users. (Many of these non-branding-specific settings pertain more to the behavior and included functionality rather than branding.)
3. | Make any setting changes that suit your configuration needs. |
Refer to the following sections for additional information:
• | For administrators performing standard branding pertaining to the End-User Portal’s appearance, refer to Branding-Specific Settings. |
• | For administrators performing advanced branding, also review the End-User Portal Page Structure section. |
• | For administrators performing extensive branding that also encompasses changing the menus and functionality available in the End-User Portal, consult the system configuration setting tables in Configuring End-User Portal Settings. |
4. | Click Save Configs to save changes. |
The Producer Portal saves your configuration changes.
