Creating a FlexNet Operations Connection

The FlexNet Operations connection establishes communication between FlexNet Operations and the underlying Connector Studio infrastructure. This connection is required before any integrations can be executed.

To create a FlexNet Operations connection

1. Click Connector Studio > Manage Connection.
2. On the Manage Connection page, select FlexNet Operations.
3. Click Continue to Authentication. FlexNet Operations opens the Connect page.
4. Verify the value in the Domain field. The domain is automatically populated from your FlexNet Operations environment and cannot be modified.
5. From the Authentication Type list, select one of the following authentication methods:
• Basic Authentication
• Bearer Token Authentication
6. Provide the authentication information for the selected authentication type:
• Basic Authentication—Enter your FlexNet Operations username and password.
• Bearer Token Authentication—Enter a valid access token.

Tip:Access tokens can be generated and managed from the Manage Access Tokens page. For more information, see Managing Access Tokens.

7. Click Connect.

The FlexNet Operations connection is established and is available for use by Connector Studio. When the connection is successful, the Manage Connection page displays the connection status as Connected. The FlexNet Operations connection can then be used by Connector Studio integrations.

You now have the following options:

• Click Finish to return to the Manage Connections page.
• Click Set up an Integration to open the Manage Integrations page, where you can configure and start integrations. Before an integration can be configured, both the FlexNet Operations and Salesforce connections must be successfully established.
