Creating a Salesforce Connection
The Salesforce connection establishes communication between Connector Studio and Salesforce, enabling data to be synchronized between Salesforce and FlexNet Operations. After the Salesforce connection has been established, Connector Studio can use it to exchange data between Salesforce and FlexNet Operations.
To create a Salesforce connection

Click Connector Studio > Manage Connection. |

On the Manage Connection page, select Salesforce. |
|
3.

Click Continue to Authentication. FlexNet Operations opens the Connect page. |
|
4.
|
Verify the Auth type setting. |
Note:Salesforce connections use OAuth 2.0 authentication.

Under Sandbox, specify whether you are connecting to a Salesforce sandbox environment. |

Yes if you are connecting to a Salesforce sandbox environment. |
|
•
|
No if you are connecting to a Salesforce production environment. |
|

Expand Advanced Settings. |
|

In the Organization/community custom domain URL field, enter the URL for your Salesforce endpoint. |
Use the Salesforce custom domain format (for example, company.my.salesforce.com).

Review the Requested permissions (OAuth scopes) setting. |
By default, Connector Studio requests the permissions required to authenticate, access Salesforce data, and execute synchronization requests. In most cases, the default setting should not be changed.

Depending on your Salesforce configuration, you may be asked to sign in and grant access to Connector Studio. |
You now have the following options:

Click Finish to return to the Manage Connections page. |

Click Set up an Integration to open the Manage Integrations page, where you can configure and start integrations. Before an integration can be configured, both the FlexNet Operations and Salesforce connections must be successfully established. |
